Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFor your first pickleball lesson, you can expect a fun, welcoming introduction to the basics of the game. We’ll cover proper grip, basic strokes like the serve and dink, court positioning, and key rules to help you feel confident and comfortable. Whether you’re brand new to the sport or just getting started, you’ll leave with a solid foundation and plenty of opportunities to practice and play.
Lesson 11+In lessons 11 and beyond, we’ll dive deeper into advanced techniques, competitive strategies, and personalized skill refinement. You’ll focus on mastering shot selection, pace control, defensive resets, and strategic positioning for high-level play. We’ll also analyze gameplay scenarios, improve mental toughness, and fine-tune your strengths while addressing areas for growth. Whether you’re preparing for tournaments or just looking to elevate your game further, these sessions are tailored to help you play smarter, faster, and more confidently on the court.
Lesson 4-10In lessons 4–10, we’ll begin advancing your skills with a focus on consistency, shot variety, and strategy. You’ll work on refining your third shot drop, volleys, and transition zone play, as well as improving your court awareness and teamwork in doubles. We’ll introduce more challenging drills, situational play, and tactical decision-making to help you read your opponents and take control of points. By lesson 10, you’ll be playing with more confidence, precision, and a stronger understanding of how to compete effectively on the court.
Lesson 2-3In your first 2–3 pickleball lessons, you can expect to build a strong foundation in both technique and game strategy. We’ll focus on core skills like proper grip, serving, dinking, volleys, and footwork, while also introducing key rules and court positioning. As you progress, we’ll begin incorporating shot placement, movement drills, and beginner-level gameplay so you can feel confident and prepared to jump into matches.

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with children, my top priorities are safety, fun, and building confidence through positive reinforcement. I create a welcoming, encouraging environment where young players can learn the basics of pickleball through age-appropriate games, drills, and activities. I emphasize clear instructions, proper technique, and safe court behavior, while keeping lessons playful and engaging to match their energy and attention span. My goal is to help kids develop coordination, teamwork, and a love for the game—all while feeling supported and having fun every step of the way.

Working with teenagersWith teens, I focus on creating a safe, inclusive space where they can challenge themselves, grow their skills, and enjoy the competitive side of pickleball in a fun and positive environment. I balance skill-building drills with friendly gameplay, encouraging teamwork, communication, and personal development on and off the court. Safety is always emphasized—both in technique and sportsmanship—while keeping sessions engaging and motivating. I strive to help teens build confidence, stay active, and discover their own potential through a sport that’s fast-paced, social, and rewarding.
