Warm-Up & Fundamentals Review (Each Lesson) -5–10 minutes of dynamic stretching and swing warm-up. -Brief review of previous lesson’s key takeaways 3. Drills & Skill Development -Use targeted drills to build consistency and technique (e.g., alignment sticks, impact bags, foot spray, and tees for feedback) -Focus on one major skill per session (e.g., ball striking, putting, bunker play). -Adjust drills in real-time based on performance and progress 4. Video Analysis (When Applicable) -Use mobile video tools for visual feedback. -Compare student’s swing to previous footage or pro examples 5. Bio: My name is Bill Barrett and I consider myself to be one of the luckiest people in the world! I have been playing golf since I was 5 years old. I had very successful amateur and collegiate careers before declaring professional status in 1981. I have enjoyed playing and teaching the game for over 47 years. My father, Boyd Barrett, taught golf for 50 years. My sister, Sharon Barrett, played on the LPGA Tour for 18 years and was a winner on the Tour. Following her retirement from the LPGA tour, Sharon taught golf for 13 years. I have been teaching golf for over 31 years. This gives me a firm understanding of what works and doesn’t work for my clients. Golf technology may change over the years; however, the basic fundamentals are key. Two components in a lesson is to keep it simple and make sure the person is having fun. I don’t know too many golf families that have more than 100 years of experience playing and teaching the game. Bio: So often we get bogged down with too much thinking while trying to make a golf swing, usually this means too much thinking about things that we don't need to concern ourselves with. Tim tries to help his students focus on just the causes of why their swings break down and filter out everything else. He began working in outside guest services then moved into the golf shop in 2001 and handled member events, group outings, and corporate tournaments before becoming Head Golf Professional in 2013. His work experience continued to grow and he has now taken over as the General Manager at Steele Canyon. He is deeply rooted in the San Diego area graduating from Monte Vista High School and then UC San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Graphics. During his education, Alan also played golf at the collegiate level and maintained a 73.5 stroke average. He is a 2-time U.S. Amateur participant at Oakmont CC in 2003 and Merion CC in 2005, before turning Professional in 2006 and playing on the A.G. Spanos Tour for 1 year. After experiencing the mini-tour lifestyle and PGA Tour Qualifying School he then committed himself full-time to teaching and working at Steele Canyon. His participation in several USGA, SCGA, PGA, collegiate, and amateur events provides him with a strong foundation of tournament experience that he incorporates in his teachings. Bio: Originally from Sweden, Henrik’s passion for golf started at age 11, growing up surrounded by a culture of excellence and friendly competition. He played professionally on the European Challenge Tour, Asian Tour, South American Tour, and Swedish Golf Tour before transitioning to coaching in 1990. Henrik has spent the past 30 years coaching national teams from Sweden, Norway, and Belgium, as well as players in numerous European and World Championships. He now teaches at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course in San Diego, where his fluency in Swedish, English, and French allows him to coach globally. Henrik also shares his expertise in biomechanics and technique as an international lecturer.
