Bio: Chen Chen was hired as the head women's tennis coach at Salem State in 2022. Chen has been the head mens' tennis coach since 2020 after playing for the Vikings for four seasons. A two-time captain of the Salem State men's tennis team. He earned first and second team All-Little East Conference honors three separate times during his career. Chen captained Salem State to just their second Little East Conference Tournament Championship and fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018. His 29 doubles wins currently rank second all-time in program history. A Dean's List member, he was a three-time All-Little East All-Academic selection and three-time National Scholar Athlete Day Award winner. Chen also became the first former player and head coach to win the LEC conference in 2023. Currently live in North Andover, MA.

Played in my first tournament last year at the World Pickleball Tour and walked away with a Gold Medal in men’s doubles and a Bronze Medal in mixed doubles. I recently played in the PPA Challenger Series in Westbrook, ME where I left with a gold in mixed doubles, bronze in men’s doubles, and a bronze in singles and I also have a singles gold medal. Bio: I started playing tennis when I was 8 years old in Brazil. I got to #12 in the country U16 and #800 in the world U18. I later played at UAB (D1 college) where I was the captain of the tennis team. During the summers I would teach large groups from all ages and private lessons as well. I love to be able to teach someone the proper technique to maximize their potential and I care a lot about my students. I have experience in clay and hard courts and I would say my style of play is lots of spin, consistency, energy, and focus on the serve.

I was a four-year varsity player at North Andover High School, serving as team captain during both my junior and senior years. As a pitcher, outfielder, and consistent offensive contributor, I helped lead our team to a State Championship.
I went on to play Division I baseball at Northeastern University, where I specialized in pitching. With consistent development and focus, I earned the role of closing pitcher and was honored to be named to both the All-Conference Team and the All-Tournament Team in my senior year. I also had the privilege of contributing to Northeastern’s CAA Championship win.

With this in mind, Christen's classes can be themed around healing one of the 7 chakras through Asana, Kriya, Pranayama, mudra, and some dharma talk. Bio: Adam Griggs is Bentley’s Associate Head Coach and Offensive Line Coach.
A former All-Northeast 10 offensive lineman at Bentley, Griggs was the Tight Ends Coach at the University of Rhode Island in 2024 where he coached All-CAA fullback Tommy Smith, who was invited to the Pittsburgh Steelers Rookie Mini Camp. Griggs also coached a Rams offense that saw All-American running back Malik Grant set the program single-season rushing record.
Prior to his time at URI, Griggs was the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach at the University of Rochester, where he coached 14 All-Conference offensive linemen and tight ends.
In the 2023 season, Griggs' offense ranked second in school history with 193 completions. Rochester's offensive line was honored with a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week following a 285-yard, 5-touchdown performance against Alfred State.
In 2022, Griggs’ offense eclipsed 2,000 rushing yards total and was led by All-American running back Daniel Papantonis.
Prior to Rochester, Griggs was the Special Teams Coordinator and Tight Ends Coach at MIT.
He began his coaching career at Assumption as the Tight Ends Coach in 2007. He then returned to Bentley where he was the Offensive Line coach, Assistant Offensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator for the Falcons through 2011.
Griggs then returned to Assumption where he was the Greyhounds’ Offensive Coordinator, helping to develop NFL Tight End Scott Simonson. He went back to Bentley in June, 2013 and was the Special Teams Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach until 2017 when he moved to MIT.
A three-year starter and four-year letter winner for Bentley, Griggs was a two-time All-Northeast 10 offensive lineman, earning 1st Team accolades in 2004, when he also earned All-New England regional honors and Don Hansen All-America Honors as well. Griggs also excelled in the classroom, earning CoSIDA Academic All-District honors in 2003 and named the Gridiron Club Student Athlete of the Year in 2004 and 2006.
